A Children's Look at the Underground Railroad

Children (and adults) of all ages enjoyed a Black History month presentation called "A Children's Look at the Underground Railroad" on Sunday, February 22, 2004 at the Oberlin Public Library, presented by nationally known Underground Railroad historian Cathy D. Nelson. She is the Elementary Social Studies Curriculum Coordinator for the Columbus Public Schools and founder and president emeritus of the Friends of Freedom Society. The event was co-sponsored by the Oberlin Heritage Center and the Oberlin Public Library with the support of the Ohio Humanities Council.
