Oberlin Heritage Center Staff
Patricia Holsworth
Financial Assistant
Pat Holsworth went to Anderson College (Indiana), graduating cum laude with honors in mathematics (B.S.), and graduated in 1970 Case Western Reserve University Library School with a Master of Library Science. Her first job after college was as Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Libraries at DePauw University where her husband, Dick Holsworth, was in graduate school. At age 30 she became a librarian and continued in that profession for 30 years, 20 of which were spent in the Cuyahoga County Library System. In 1991, she moved to Oberlin to become Director of the Oberlin Public Library for 6 years. Since "retirement" she has done library consulting and served on boards, including three years as the President of the Oberlin Heritage Center Board of Trustees. As a staff member, she does all of the Oberlin Heritage Center's bookkeeping and financial reports, monitors the fiscal side of grants and special projects, acts as purchasing agent, and assists Pat Murphy in budget planning and administrative and clerical details. She devotes many volunteer hours a week to maintaining our resource center. Pat loves local history and genealogy. She has been an avid genealogist for almost 30 years. She also likes computers-she has a laptop that goes everywhere she goes. She enjoys finances and investments, and belongs to an all-women investment group. She and Dick have two sons and two grandchildren to spoil.
