Kids & Cultures Around the World!
(Session II)

The transformation of the Oberlin Depot into a kaleidoscope of cultures continued for a second week. Again the campers were exposed to different cultures through guest speakers, activities, and crafts of all kinds: taiko drumming from Japan, Native American dreamcatchers, marbled paper from Micronesia, Ukranian ornaments and eggs, and much more. The in-house mini-musuem, composed of items loaned by local world-travelers, continued to educate and amaze. At week's end, campers performed two hula dances from Hawaii for parents and guests. They also enjoyed the fruits of their week's labor by breaking their paper mache Mexican piñatas!

Group shot of campers plus a guest presented on India.
