Contribute to the Oberlin Heritage Center

There are many ways to contribute to our organization. Naturally, we are always delighted to have new members, but you can also help us by remembering the Oberlin Heritage Center in the following ways:

Endowment for History Education

The Oberlin Heritage Center's Endowment for History Education has been created to enhance and sustain our history education programs and outreach work for children, youth and adults in the community. Click for more information or go directly to an endowment donation form.

Annual Fund

We also conduct an annual fund campaign each fall to support our ongoing operating expenses which help us to preserve our buildings and collections, pay our staff, and support our mission. Contributions are tax deductible and may be made by sending a check payable to the Oberlin Heritage Center Annual Fund, P.O. Box 0455, Oberlin, Ohio 44074. We also welcome gifts of stock. For more information, contact our executive director Pat Murphy by phone at (440) 774-1700 or via e-mail to patm@oberlinheritage.org. Click here for the annual fund donation form.

Shop for Museums!

Help the Oberlin Heritage Center by shopping online! When you go to shopformuseums.com and register to support the Oberlin Heritage Center, a percent of your purchase total will be donated to us. Registration is easy (or you can shop as a guest) and there are many brand stores to shop at online. Mark September 19, 2007 on your calendar - it's "Shop 'Til You Drop" Double Donation Day. Anyone shopping on our behalf will contribute double the normal amount. What a wonderful way to get your holiday shopping done and support your community heritage center at the same time!

Leave a Legacy

You can help the Oberlin Heritage Center in a lasting way by remembering our organization in your will or estate planning, or by making a gift in honor or memory of a loved one. Gifts of any size help us to preserve and share our heritage and improve our community. Contributions may be made to our Endowment, to the annual fund (for annual operating expenses), or for a special purpose. We can suggest language you may wish to use in making a bequest to our organization in your will or trust. If you have already included the Oberlin Heritage Center in your will, please consider letting our Executive Director Pat Murphy (patm@oberlinheritage.org) know so that we can thank you and recognize you for this important commitment.

Giving Opportunities Galore!

In our continuing efforts to restore and better interpret our historic sites to the public, we are seeking donors interested in donating or helping us purchase several special items. If you would like to help us purchase any of these items, contact Pat Murphy at (440) 774-1700 or via e-mail to patm@oberlinheritage.org .

The Heritage Trail

The Trail is paved with century-old bricks which are waiting to become even more historic when engraved with your name or personal message. The Oberlin Heritage Center offers you the opportunity to buy one or more bricks. Twelve characters or spaces may be engraved in one, two, or three lines.
