Oberlin Heritage Center Community Awards Program is designed to annually celebrate and recognize individuals, organizations and businesses whose outstanding accomplishments in serving the community are in keeping with the mission of the Oberlin Heritage Center: "...to preserve and share Oberlin's unique heritage and to make our community a better place to live, learn, work and visit."

2006 Honorees
	Community Historian Award, given to Margaret Christian Heritage Guardian Award, given to Jane Blodgett Oberlin Heritage Center Volunteer of the Year Award, given to Catharina ("Katy") Lester Oberlin Heritage Center Business Leader Award, given to the McKay Lodge Conservation Laboratory, Inc.

Community Historian Award, given to William E. Bigglestone Keep Oberlin Beautiful Award, given to Bert Latran, Jr. Oberlin Heritage Center Volunteer of the Year Award, given to Ruth Schwaegerle Community Teacher of the Year Award, given to Lorna Kretchmar History Teacher of the Year Award, given to Jan DeMarinis, Jean Ebosh, Christine Hohman, and Gail Wood
