• Mary Anne Cunningham, Assistant to the Director, and Prue Richards, Collections Assistant, each received Individual Achievement Awards from the Ohio Association of Historical Societies and Museums (2007).
• Pat and Dick Holsworth, Oberlin Heritage Center Financial Assistant and volunteer, received the Ohio Association of Historical Societies and Museums' Outstanding Individual Achievement Award (2006).
• The Oberlin Heritage Center received the Ohio Association of Historical Societies and Museums' History Outreach Excellence Award for the publication 'Investing in Community:  The History and Legacy of the Nord Family of Ohio' (2005).
• Cathe Radabaugh, Oberlin Heritage Center Past President received the Ohio Association of Historical Societies and Museums' Individual Achievement Award (2005) [pictured at right]
• Executive Director Pat Murphy named "Oberlinian of the Year" for 2005
• Received accreditation from the American Association of Museums (December 2005)
• Ohio Association of Historical Societies and Museums (OAHSM ) History Outreach Excellence Award for Sarah Margru Kinson: The Two Worlds of an Amistad Captive, by Marlene D. Merrill (2004)
• Prepared nomination for the National Trust for Historic Preservation's selection of Oberlin as one of its Dozen Distinctive Destinations (2004)
  
• Received 2004 Annual Award for Preservation Hero from Downtown Ohio/Heritage Ohio
• Designated a facility on the National Park Services' National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom (2004)
  
• Downtown Oberlin National Register Nomination (2003)
  
• History Outreach Excellence Award for the "Biking Tour of Historic Oberlin" presented by the Ohio Association of Historical Societies and Museums (2003)
